Parent Alerts
Class/Student Viewing
Class Viewing by parents is not allowed.  During the first two weeks, parents will be allowed to view participants.  Parents may request additional viewing of participants at the discretion of the instructor.
 
Insurance Policy
Families must own and maintain their own medical insurance for participants.  The CPA Inc. and staff are not responsible for any injury that may occur.  All parents must sign a release form at the time of registration.

Inclement Weather/Emergency Closing Policy
In case of inclement weather, please follow the Detroit Public School System for class closings.  This does not apply to any other days the Detroit Public School System is closed (i.e., half days, holidays, spring break, etc.).  In the case of an emergency, The CPA Inc. and its facilities may close or have a delayed starting time.  Please note that the emergency closing process is determined by operating officials.  If at anytime the CPA Inc. feels that the weather does not permit or that emergencies will cause cancellation of classes, students and families will be notified 2-3 hours prior to class by phone, text message or e-mail.

Recital Participation Policy
All Participants are eligible for Recital Performance if they have good overall attendance and perfect attendance 5 weeks prior to recital, attend mandatory dress rehearsal and fees are paid in full.

Fundraising Policy
A variety of fundraisers are hosted throughout the year and we encourage families to participate, but SEASONAL FUNDRAISING IS NOT MANDATORY OR REQUIRED.  Used to help supplement costs, parents may participate in fund-raisers offered to off-set their financial responsibility.  Funds raised will be recognized as a Fund-Raising Credit which will be deducted from their child’s fees upon completion of each fund-raiser.  Regardless of fund-raising contributions, parents are responsible to meet their financial obligation in full before the end of the season. 
Fee Policy
Registration Fee required for all participants and due upon registration.  Registration Fee is non-refundable.

Class Fees are based on group/classes taken by participant (core and improvisation).  Class Fees are required for all participants and may be paid in 9 equal payments from October-June.  Class Fees are due the 2nd Wednesday of each month.  Fees include class instruction, recital rehearsal, recital performances and awards’ ceremony.  All and final Fees payment(s) are required the 1st Wednesday of June.  Class Fees are non-refundable.

Costume Fees are based on group/classes taken by participant (core and improvisation).  Core Costume Fees (1st & 2nd costumes) $50, 3rd costume fee $40 and the 4th costume fee $30.  Total costume fees are due in 3 installments (October, December & February).  A $20 material fee per each costume larger than an Adult Large.  Costume Fees are non-refundable.
